Applicant Requirements
Applicants must be:

Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the College Station Campus of Texas A&M University.

Enrolled full time during the semester the application is submitted.

Considered in good standing with their academic college and the University.

Available for finalist interviews on March 6, 2010, on the College Station Campus.
Enrollment status and academic standing will be verified by the University.
In addition, the recipient of the Globetrotter Grant must agree to prepare a report of the trip that will be posted on this website as a guide and inspiration to future applicants. Pictures would be nice, too, but aren’t required.
Trip Proposal Requirements
The proposal – the essay part of the application – is limited to three (3) pages and should be written to convince the Board that you are the applicant who should receive the Globetrotter Grant for Texas A&M University. Ingenuity and creativity are encouraged, recommendations and transcripts are not.
Please include the following information in your proposal:

Why you want to make this trip.

Cost estimates and the funds you currently have available.

Proposed departure and return dates.
Application Schedule

January 28, 2010 – Applications open.

February 13, 2010, Midnight – Application deadline.

March 1, 2010 – Finalists notified, and names posted on Globetrotter Grant website.

March 6, 2010 – Finalist interviews on the College Station Campus; TAMU winner notified that afternoon.
The first 100 applications received by midnight February 13, 2010, (as recorded by the email time stamp) will be acknowledged and read by members of the Board, and will be eligible for the award.
The Board reserves the right to post winning proposals and reports on the website.
The $1,500 grant will be awarded on behalf of Globetrotter Grant once the winner has signed the Trip Report Agreement.
